Valentine’s Day Flowers

On Valentine’s day Scotty pulled me into a florist and let me pick out my V-day flowers.  I know this isn’t the most traditional arrangement – picking out your own flowers, but I prefer it.  I’m not a huge fan of roses and I find most pre-arranged flowers a bit stuffy.  So it was so much fun to just be given free range and pick out my own flowers.  I ended up with a bouquet of yellow and violet freesia and pink ranuculas.  Nearly all the flowers were still buds and I’ve had so much fun watching them open over the past few days.  And I love the bright color combination – it really is a bright spot in these grey days.
