Away we go…to the Film Festival!

Yesterday Scotty and I managed to score tickets to the British premier of Away We Go at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.  Away We Go was the opening night film and was introduced by the director, Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Revolutionary Road) along with John Kransinski of The Office!  While we missed the red carpet I did see Sean Connery and Alan Cumming (who I completely mistook for PeeWee Herman!)  walking through the cinema.  We also saw lots of people who were probably producers/writers/directors – spottable by their self-important, pensive, eccentric looks :-).

So did you like the movie? I’ve seen the previews and it looks really cute, wondering if it is a worthwhile film. Sounds like a fun time to be in Edinburgh!

I did enjoy it – although there are definitely some uncomfortable scenes. It’s very much a movie for our generation – not one that our parents would like at all! 🙂
