Afternoon in the Park

Saturday dawned gorgeous! One of those days that is the sweet reward for surviving an Edinburgh winter. We met up with friends and headed over to the Meadows for a picnic – along with a lot of other people. Thankfully the meadows are a large open park area so the grass-to-person ratio was very generous. Besides enjoying some great take-away from Olive we soaked up some early Spring sun and spent a few happy hours people-watching.

A baseball player...not something you see a lot over here. To be completely honest, he could have used a few lessons from the guys.

Trees haven't quite bloomed but the setting was perfect.

People picnicking and enjoying the sunshine.

Hula-Hoopers...

This guy joined the hoola hoopers and provided some fun people watching.

A friendly football match.

Two young friends having a stroll through the park.

Sweet little dog owner and her bunny.

The entire weekend was gorgeous!  We enjoyed summery foods from the Mediterranean and concluded Saturday with a great movie (An Education) at the Filmhouse.

So glad you finally got a little sunshine. Our sunshine was visiting Ashton, Hilly and Jimmy. Ashton starting crawling while we were there! That was a special treat. Then we endured a solid 15 hours of driving through monsoon like rains. Horrific. Hope spring has really sprung for you!

Saturday was so lovely! We did a bus tour with my mum and then we watched An Education! On DVD though 🙂

Nice to see that the sun does exist on that side of the planet.
