A highly unusual burst of warm weather has sent Edinburgh into an early spring. Overnight the grass has freshly sprouted, crocus and snowdrops are sprouting up everywhere and it’s beautiful. I’m not expecting it to last long but on Saturday I took a walk through the Botanical Gardens with a friend and it was so good to be outside in the sunshine, soaking up the fresh beauty. I am off to work now but here’s a couple glimpses of spring for your Monday morning.

Wow! Love those those last two shots of the pink spidery flower by the lily pads and those deep pink flowers at the base of the tree. Spring is such a happy season.
